Received a broken machine and no way to return
ordered a coffee grinder, and it came broken. I tried to contact Bodum for multiple times, we were asked to send a video and then nothing happened afterwards and no reply anymore when I tried to contact customer support. It has been several months now. Super disappointed in both the product and the brand.
Unsafe products
I purchased your electric milk frother from Target. Yesterday, while using it, I went to unplug it and I almost got electrocuted. I got quite a shock from it and it blew a fuse. This product is extremely unsafe and should not be sold in any stores. I also purchased the battery operated milk frother. It is so flimsy that the milk went all over the place. I would not recommend any of your products to anyone as they are low quality and unsafe.

Dreadful company. Non-existent customer service (trying to get in touch about a coffee grinder not working), very hard to return product.

Damaged coffee grinder
I ordered a couple of coffee grinders from BODUM. Both came with chipped plastic on the inside wall (i.e. coming into contact with the coffee beans & potentially leading to bits of plastic in the ground coffee). Asked if it was possible to get an exchange, and the customer service rep just replied with "please note that the mentioned does not influence the proper functioning of the product". Well I guess I can still grind beans, but I am not willing to risk the ground coffee with contaminated plastic?? Replied to the customer service rep, no response. I wish I had seen all the bad reviews before I bought.
Waste of Money
I ordered a French press online on Dec. 31st and was charged a $10 shipping fee. Despite this fee, it took 2 weeks to receive my order. I don't necessarily have an issue with this - but what I do take issue with is their allegedly "heat resistant" plastic carafe, which cracked within 2 weeks of use. This is completely ridiculous and a waste of money since I had to throw it out this morning. I created a support ticket 2 days ago with no response requesting a replacement and/or a glass carafe (since plastic is clearly not heat resistant). I have yet to receive a response. Save yourself the trouble - if you want a Bodum then just order via Amazon, where you will likely get free shipping and faster delivery. Just make sure you order a model that includes a glass carafe and not plastic.

Over two months without a response from Bodum customer service. Bad customer service! Went to ‘Resolver’ and tried there. Reading other reviews, they will only listen if you say you will complain to Trading Standards, BBC watchdog, Martin Lewis or even the Financial Ombudsman. Do send in those complaint letters as I got a full refund from Bodum. Then leave your success stories on here!
They sent me a defective product and…
They sent me a defective product and refuse to send me a functioning product and will not allow me to return it EVEN THOUGH they sent me a product that does not work!

THIS COMPANY IS GARBAGE! They send you chipped damaged items and then you need to spend hours communicating with their 'customer service agents' only to pay a 10% restocking plus shipping for a damaged item sent from China! Their products are made in China now by the way. Will never order from them again, lesson learned! Thanks BODUMB!
Customer service - tumbleweed
Similar to many below. I have bought several products from Bodum, all fine. Recently I bought another which was faulty, (I sent photos) they sent me an email saying the item was not faulty and went on to explain how to make a cup of tea!! I wrote back saying I was perfectly capable of making tea but the part was fauly...tumbleweed! I've never heard from them again.

Wish I had consulted trustpilot first!
Normally posting a justified poor review on trustpilot elicits a response from the company. I have little hope of this happening in this case. Like other reviwers, I received an apparently faulty product (glass insert which falls out of cafetiere frame when inverted). I have sent a video as requested, but have heard nothing further. I won't give up, but wish I had consulted trustpilot first.
Low-level service for quality brand
It's sad that such a nice brand has such a low-level service in their shop.
Return policy is really complicated and costs the customer twice as much. Costs for shipping are OK imo, but adding a fee on it is too much.
Then, when you contact them, they don't always answer and mostly they answer in English, even if you wrote to them in German.
I still like their products, but I will neither recommend the shop to others nor order anything over this shop again.

Waste of money. Zero customer service
Bought a tea pot as a present but the plunger was faulty. Contacted them and they wouldn't help because I bought it on Amazon. GREAT!
THEN they sent me one of those "how did we do" questionnaires. So I told them!

Don't waste your money
I wish I had known what an awful company this is to deal with. It took them over a week to respond to my email inquiry (they don't answer their phones), only to refer me back to the return process on their website. As another reviewer said - unused products only, 10% restocking fee, and I PAY FOR SHIPPING! What a joke. I hope this company goes down, hard. Will never buy another product from them again, online or in person.
Misleading information
I received my order and realised that the electric hand mixer already had a set of dough hooks. But when I was ordering it prompt me to order a set.
I asked for refund but they wanted me to pay postage and take an off.
However they have not responded to my emails.
I wouldn’t give them a star if there was a choice.
